Our team

EOON Care, is led by a UK Registered Adult Nurse and supported by a small operational team and a developing network of caregivers in Nigeria.

Our team brings together:

Leadership, governance and care oversight
Family communication and care coordination
Caregiver recruitment, verification and training
On-the-ground operational support
Caregivers providing agreed day-to-day support

Each person has defined responsibilities within the care arrangement. Caregivers are selected according to the older person’s assessed needs, location, caregiver competence and availability.

Care arrangements are reviewed when needs or circumstances change, and concerns are escalated through the appropriate EOON Care process.

Our leadership

EOON Care was founded and is led by Nene Obibi-Mordi, a UK Registered Adult Nurse and experienced NHS programme leader.

She provides strategic direction for EOON Care’s standards, governance, caregiver development and approach to family communication. Day-to-day coordination is supported by the operational team in Nigeria.

Leadership oversight helps ensure that:

Proposed care arrangements are appropriate and realistic
Roles and responsibilities are agreed from the beginning
Caregivers receive relevant instructions and support
Families know how and when they will receive updates
Concerns and significant changes are reported and reviewed
Safeguarding or safety concerns are escalated appropriately

Our caregivers

EOON Care works with caregivers who provide agreed day-to-day support to older people and families.

Before a new caregiver can be considered for deployment through EOON Care, they must complete the relevant application, interview and identity-verification process. Successful applicants then complete the mandatory four-hour EOON Basic Care Training before possible initial deployment. Existing EOON caregivers repeat this training annually.

Caregivers working through EOON Care are expected to:

Treat older people with dignity and respect
Maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries
Follow the agreed care instructions and daily routines
Communicate clearly with the older person and family
Report concerns, incidents or significant changes promptly
Work within their competence and defined responsibilities
Follow EOON Care’s safeguarding and escalation processes

Caregiver assignments depend on the older person’s needs, location, demonstrated competence and caregiver availability.

EOON Care training supports internal workforce preparation and safe practice. It is not a government or professionally accredited qualification.

How we work as a team

Clear responsibilities

Each care arrangement identifies what support is required, who is responsible and the limits of the caregiver’s role.

Communication

Caregivers report relevant information through agreed channels. Families receive updates according to the communication arrangements established at the beginning.

Guidance and development

Caregivers receive instructions relevant to their assignment, mandatory EOON Care training and further support when concerns or learning needs are identified.

Safeguarding and escalation

Caregivers are expected to recognise concerns, report them promptly and follow EOON Care’s safeguarding and escalation processes.
